Phronesis Partners Welcomes Stephen Whitten as Practice Lead – Asset and Wealth Management

LONDON, February 10, 2025 – Research, analytics, and advisory firm Phronesis Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Whitten. Stephen brings a unique blend of market research agency and asset manager sector expertise, having had 12+ years at BlackRock, latterly leading the Global Market Research Centre of Excellence. 

At BlackRock he was responsible for leading the firm’s market research needs across institutional and wealth businesses, notably setting up multi-year programs to support strategic initiatives such as a Global Institutional CX survey and the Global Investor Pulse. His team also conducted numerous ad hoc studies across NPD and market sizing, brand and reputation, thought leadership including ESG, and segmentation. 

In his role at Phronesis, Stephen brings deep industry expertise to enhance Phronesis’s full-service market research capabilities in the global asset and wealth management sector while also strengthening relationships with existing managers. 

“Having had a global remit at BlackRock I quickly learned the differences between regions, and crucially the differences between individual markets within regions. Stephen has a very analytical mindset having originally trained as a Chartered Accountant. He is passionate about designing research which provides genuine commercial value.
